Zinc Oxide Rotary Kiln Production Process and Calcination Process - Direct Method

Published:2022-03-29

Zinc is an extremely widely used metal. Zinc products mainly include metal zinc, zinc-based alloys, and zinc oxide. The application range of each product is different. For example, zinc oxide is mainly used in rubber, paint, enamel, medical printing and other fields.

Due to the important role of zinc oxide, the increasing domestic demand has also led to an increase in the price of zinc oxide and stimulated the rapid development of zinc oxide production enterprises. Domestic zinc oxide production is generally established with zinc oxide rotary kiln as the core equipment. At present, there are three main methods for producing zinc oxide in my country, namely indirect method, direct method and wet method. This article describes the process of producing zinc oxide by the direct method. Specifically, the method is divided into the following steps.

1. Zinc oxide rotary kiln system composition: batching system, feeding system, rotary kiln system, slag water system, dust collection system, flue gas desulfurization system, public facilities, etc.

2. Steps of Zinc Oxide Rotary Kiln: The flue gas is cooled by table and preliminarily collected into Zinc Oxide soot, and the Zinc Oxide soot is collected by the pulse reverse blowing belt dust collector. The slag is quenched in water and sold for cement production or magnetic separation of iron ore.

3. Production process: Zinc-containing waste and anthracite powder are mixed and stirred into a uniform mixture in a certain proportion, and are transported to the mixing silo at the end of the kiln by belt transportation or bucket elevator. Feeder, the mixture is metered by the disc feeder and then fed into the rotary kiln. With the rotation of the rotary kiln, the mixture slowly moves from the low temperature zone to the high temperature zone. In the high temperature zone, the coal in the mixture and the kiln The air entering the tail drum undergoes an oxidation reaction to produce carbon monoxide, and the carbon monoxide and the carbon in the coal undergo a reduction reaction with the zinc oxide in the water slag to produce zinc steam, which is then yellowed by the oxygen in the air to produce zinc oxide soot. The dust collector is collected, and the remaining slag enters the slag pool after water quenching in the kiln head.
