Philippines — July 2025 — Henan Hongke Heavy Industry Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. ("Hongke Heavy Industry") is pleased to report that the installation of an environmentally friendly lime rotary kiln production line for a client in the Philippines is progressing on schedule. The project reinforces Hongke's growing footprint in the Southeast Asian market.


Project Background

Rising demand for high-quality quicklime across the Philippine steel, construction, and environmental treatment sectors is driving producers to replace older shaft kilns with modern, efficient, and cleaner technologies. After evaluating multiple suppliers, the client — a well-established Philippine industrial group — selected Hongke Heavy Industry for its proven lime kiln expertise, integrated environmental design, and competitive project value.

The system is designed to process local limestone and produce high-activity quicklime for steelmaking, desulfurization, water treatment, and construction applications.


Environmental Protection Features

A defining aspect of this project is its comprehensive environmental design — integrated from the earliest engineering stage, not added as an afterthought.

  • Low-NOx burner: Multi-channel burner optimized for clean combustion with dual-fuel flexibility.

  • High-efficiency bag filter: Pulse-jet system covering the preheater, kiln, cooler, and all transfer points — achieving stack emissions below 30 mg/Nm³.

  • Waste heat recovery: Kiln exhaust gas preheats limestone in the vertical preheater to ~900 °C before entering the kiln, reducing fuel consumption to ≤ 850 kcal/kg quicklime.

  • Enclosed material handling: All transfer points are fully enclosed and connected to the dust collection system — zero fugitive emissions on site.

  • Closed-loop water system: Process water is recirculated with no discharge to the environment.


Installation Progress

Working alongside the client's local crew, Hongke's on-site engineers have completed:

  • All civil foundations with verified alignment tolerances

  • Kiln shell erection, welding, and inspection

  • Support station assembly — tires, trunnion rollers, girth gear, and pinion

  • Preheater tower and cooler installation

  • Bag filter erection and ductwork (nearing completion)

  • Electrical cable tray installation (in progress)

The project remains on track for commissioning within the scheduled timeframe.
