The rotary kiln equipment of the cement plant adopts single-small tooth drive and straight tooth mode, and the lubrication is oil pool lubrication. Now a certain brand of tooth-opening lubricant is used.


At present, the pitting corrosion is more serious below the pitch circle line of the pinion, and there is a certain amount of wear. The pitting corrosion of the tooth surface of the large gear is more serious, and there are scratches.



Causes of gear tooth surface damage During the gear transmission process, any point on the gear from meshing to disengagement, the contact stress changes in a pulsating cycle. When the contact stress and the number of repetitions exceed a certain limit, small fatigue cracks and cracks appear on the tooth surface. The expansion causes the metal to flake off to form pitting. It first appears near the pitch line, because the attachment of the pitch circle line is a pure rolling area, and the oil film is more difficult to form, resulting in fatigue cracks.


The original lubricant can not form a good protective oil film, which causes the material of the tooth surface pitch line accessories to fatigue, form fatigue cracks, and enter the solvent and lubricant to form pitting corrosion. Scratches are caused by ruptured oil films and the entry of contaminants.


Suggestions for the improvement of the open gear lubrication of the rotary kiln in this factory


1. Oil seeping into cracks will increase the rate of pitting corrosion. In order to slow down the growth rate of pitting corrosion, it is recommended to replace a higher viscosity open gear lubricant such as Yourun Open Gear Lubricant, which can increase the thickness of the lubricating oil film, increase the bearing capacity, and reduce the amount of oil that penetrates into the pitting cracks, thereby slowing down the pitting corrosion. increase the speed of expansion, while also mitigating the generation of scratches.


2. Try to make the rotary kiln's large gear ring seal better, reduce the entry of pollutants such as water and dust, and regularly replace and test the quality of oil products to achieve timely replacement of oil products and ensure the normal use of the equipment.
